Network UpdatesThis is a new page for important news and common issues. Here are some examples that can be addressed by call center support using this site. Please text to 604 932 9847 after hours and enter a trouble ticket. Staff Housing 'HOUSE' accountsLast year we offered free 'house' accounts for staff working directly for Whistler Blackcomb staff housing. This year the agreement is staff get half price. For all calls related to staff 'house' accounts and all logins starting with 'house' please refer to the link below. More information and list of staff eligible for Staff Housing Accounts PENDING - Account status is OKSince we updated our servers many customer accounts are showing the 'PENDING' status. This is OK, it makes no difference to the customer ability to use our network, it just means that there was a delay between signing up and processing payment, however payment has been successfully completed and the account is actually VALID Urgent and Repeat callers - please send a text msgSometimes people may call several times getting more and more anxious before we have a chance to follow up on their trouble ticket. If a caller insists that they must be called the same night and it is already after business hours please send a text message If a customer calls more than once before we can follow up please send a text message especially if they are getting upset as this will allow us to respond in a more timely fashion Problems with iPhone and SafariSome customers may have difficulty logging in to the network using iPhones or on a Mac with Safari. If they do not have firefox or explorer installed the solution is to Register their Airport ID One computer at a timeIn our terms and conditions only one computer per account may connect to the Internet at a time. For accounts of one month or more, one additional device (like a phone) may be registered with an account by calling 604 932 9847 during business hours or email support@basewireless.com. |
