Base Technology Ltd deployed Whistler's first commercial WiMAX service this week with a base station and two subscriber units in the Creekside area serving the Vale Inn and Alpha Lake Village each with dedicated 4Mbs links.

WiMAX at the Vale Inn
WiMAX operates on licensed 3.5 Ghz spectrum and offers a reliable alternative to cable, ADSL or T1 connections from the large telecommunications providers dominating the market today. Our WiMAX base stations are connected to our 100Mbs Bell fiber backbone.
